Design And Evaluation Of Median Filters For Scintigraphic Image Filtering

The problem of reducing image noise and aberrant structures while conserving image sharpness is approached in the context of scintigraphy. Suitably constructed median filters are shown to be superior to conventional smoothing techniques in these applications.
