Some approaches for handling multi-user access to instruments in a virtual lab

George Georgiev, Georgi T. Georgiev, Silvia Stefanova · 2003

Education is one of the areas, where Distributed Measurement Systems are becoming more and more useful due to the possibilities they give for interactive access and control from remote trainees. This paper presents two architectures of virtual labs for education, which allow for conducting remote experiments with multi-user access. The methods for access and synchronization of the basic tools are discussed in some detail. Two algorithms for handling requests from multiple users are briefly outlined.
