Guardian: intelligent autonomous agent for medical monitoring and diagnosis

This knowledge-based agent monitors and diagnoses intensive-care patients recovering from cardiac surgery. The tests described in this article indicate that such a system can be valuable companion to medical personnel, increasing the safety, efficiency and quality of the care offered.
