To ensure that the University of Delaware is doing its best to reduce the chance of identity theft and to help the University meet the obligations imposed by laws regarding personal information, the University developed a campaign to educate faculty and staff about the proper use of Social Security Numbers (SSNs). A team from the Information Technology Department was assigned to work on this project.The first step in this campaign was to ask each department to provide us with information about their use of SSNs.
