Baseband Signal Processor for Digital RR Link with Direct IQ Modulator

In this paper, a subsystem is described for generation of baseband signal with direct IQ modulation to serve the following purposes: information signal filtering in order to satisfy ETSI spectrum mask, generation of signals for direct modulator imperfection SSB (Single Side Band) test and two-tone microwave amplifiers nonlinearity test. Implemented hardware and DSP (Digital Signal Processing) solutions are described in details, and results of testing within the scope of 18GHz system are presented.
