Linearisation of the scanning motion of a piezoelectrically driven Fabry-Perot interferometer

The design principles of a function generator which allows the compensation of the nonlinearities of the piezoelectric transducers of a Fabry-Perot interferometer are described. Examples of the performance of the interferometer and of its improvement by the 'lineariser' are given.
