Some Analytical Procedures for Computers and Their Applications to a Class of Multidimensional Integrals
Kenneth Hartt · Journal of the ACM · 1964
A set of subroutines that has been developed on small computers and used in analytical evaluation of multidimensional integrals is described. The type of integral considered may be written as a differential operator acting upon a restricted class of functions of polynomials.Together, the subroutines are referred to as a programmed polynomial calculus (PPC).PPC will perform algebraic, differential and substitutional operations upon polynomials in several variables.Flowcharts are given.Applications of PPC in theoretical physics are discussed.
