Comparison of E-Gif Ontology for Greek Public Sector with W3C Core Vocabularies

Pavlina Fragkou · 2014

In this paper we perform a comparison between the e-GIF ontology created for modeling concepts and relations depicting the information appearing in ERMIS Greek portal for Public Administration with Core Vocabularies provided by the European Community, and particularly by the ISA program (Interoperability Solutions for European Public Administrations). Core Vocabularies are used to enhance interoperability purposes such as data exchange and are created by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The aim here is to create a one-one mapping between the e-GIF ontology and Core Business Vocabulary, taking under consideration a vocabulary creates and an analysis performed by SPOCS project, in order to create semantic linkages between them.
