Recursive method for generatingweight enumerating functions of trellis codes

A simple recursive method for generating weight enumerating functions of trellis codes with finite lengths is presented. The proposed technique is conceptually simple and yet computationally efficient. It provides a convenient means for evaluating the performance of turbo-type concatenated codes.
