Groupware technologies for education in AulaNet

This paper presents AulaNet—an environment for creation and maintenance of Web-based courses. This environment is based on three concepts: communication, coordination, and cooperation. This paper also presents some groupware technologies used in the environment and some future trends that will guide its development, focusing the creation of knowledge communities. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
