Finite-Size Capacity of Sparse-Coding Models

C. J. Perez-Vicente · Europhysics Letters (EPL) · 1989

The storage capacity of a model based on a generalized Hebbian rule useful for the analysis of networks with low levels of activity is computed for a finite system. It is of interest to observe how a set of well-known behaviours are recovered, as special cases, in the suitable limit of sparse coding.
