Initial-Value Problems with Inflow Boundaries for Maxwell Fluids

We consider the two-dimensional flow of an upper convected Maxwell fluid transverse to a domain bounded by parallel planes. We characterize a set of inflow boundary conditions, which leads to a well-posed initial-boundary value problem.
