Letter: Further Results on the Computation of the Outage Probability in Mobile Radio Systems

Abstract In this letter we present a general method for the computation of the outage probability in fading radio channels. It is based on the joint use of the saddle‐point approximation and the gaussian quadrature rules. From our numerical results we have found that this procedure is fast and accurate at the same time.
