A method for determining supply quantity for the case of poisson distribution of demand

Abstract The problem treated is that of determining the number of units of an item to be supplied against a future demand, on the basis of the past record of demand for that item. A method is described for the case of Poisson distribution of demand and known relation between the expected demand for the experience and the future periods.
