Data Acquisition System for Residual Gas Analyzer

A relatively simple data acquisition system is described for use with data having a spectral distribution. The paper deals specifically with problems encountered in performing both functions of visual monitoring and periodic recording of the mass spectrum from a residual gas analyzer. The ideas presented, however, are not necessarily restricted to mass spectral data and could be adapted to data collection from other forms of spectra.
