Many nations are fighting against terrorism. Recent terrorist attacks exposed weaknesses in the most sophisticated security systems. There is a driver to increase border security using biometric systems, as it has become increasingly important to identify individuals with certainty. Also, high security is required in many government organisations, such as defence, and nuclear power stations. To protect resources and highly confidential data from the unauthorised user, a multi-algorithmic biometric system can play an important role.
