A capacitance attenuator and its application to the measurement of very small capacitances
N F Astbury, T. Iorwerth Jones · Journal of Scientific Instruments · 1936
A capacitance attenuator covering a range from 40 to 100 decibels is described in which there are no errors due to conductance effects, and in which the effects due to inductance at high frequencies are very small. An account is given of an application of the instrument to the measurement of capacitances as small as 0.001 μμF. to within 0.0001 μμF. For larger capacitances the limiting accuracy claimed is 1 per cent.
