Detection of capillaries in the images formed by a capillaroscope

The subject of detecting the capillaries in the images obtained from the processing of video sequences formed by a computer capillaroscope is discussed. The problems concerning the formation and filtering of capillary contour maps, syntactical contour analysis, major capillary selection, and the construction of the morphological characteristics of contour lines are investigated. Obtained morphological characteristics are used for the description and the analysis of capillary shape.
