Optoelectronic Implementation of Bipolar Analog Neural Network Using Shadow Casting

Based on the optical shadow casting technique, we propose an optoelectronic implementation of neural network with bipolar analog neurons and interconnection weights. Experimental results of an associative memory based on the Hopfield model using the proposed method are also described.
