A proposal for a taxonomy of semantic editing devices to support semantic classification
Markus Rickert, Maximilian Eibl · 2014
A current aim in video analysis and semantic classification is the detection and labeling of complex semantic concepts. In this paper we propose to use domain knowledge from the process of video creation. We present our groundwork on exploration of 'semantic editing devices' used by video editors. These 'devices' are related to implicit semantic functions embedded into a video document. We describe a taxonomy and possible strategies to detect these semantic editing devices. Our suggestion is, that by the classification and detection of 'semantic editing devices', a better understanding of the semantics of a video document can be achieved.
