Cheap concurrency in C

Carl Binding · ACM SIGPLAN Notices · 1985

This paper describes the implementation of a simple kernel providing concurrency for the C programming language 1 . The kernel provides services for process creation and termination, process synchronization, handling of interrupts, and mutual exclusion. It runs under UNIX 2 (bsd 4.2) and is almost entirely implemented in C([2]).
