Surface detection and recognition using infrared light

This article deals with surface detection and recognition, using infrared light. This non-intrusive method could be implemented to detect different types of surfaces and objects. The article describes measuring device, methods and results obtained in the experiment, showing simplicity and suitability in many everyday applications.
