A new integrating real-time analyzer features true portability (40 lb), battery operation and a built-in scope display. It offers a new convenience for laboratory and field noise and vibration measurements. Frequency analysis in octave or 1/3-octave bands from 2.5 Hz to 20 kHz is complimented by a unique level versus time mode which allows display of A, flat or frequency band levels over up to 32 preselected measurement periods. For community noise analysis, up to 32 hourly Leq values can be displayed. The instrument will find wide application in industrial, community and product noise studies.
