On three procedures of sampling from finite populations

For estimating the population total of a variable, the ratio method of estimation by drawing the sample randomly without replacement, Lahiri's method, and the method of Rao, Hartley & Cochran are compared. Comparisons are made under a super-population model. Results are exact for finite sizes of the population and sample.
