An evaluation of computer science curricula

INTRODUCTIO NIn November 1972, a questionnaire was circulated to computer science departments a t 493 of the four-year colleges and universities in the United States and Canada .Th e intention was that a census he taken on the then current requirements for undergraduat e and graduate degrees in computer science .A secondary mailing of the questionnaire wa s made to non-respondents in January 1973 .The response to the two mailings was quite good in that 291 out of the 493 school s returned completed questionnaires .Thus, the response rate was about 60%, which i s considered to be extremely good in surveys conducted by mail .
