Integral test and Abel's test

Wei‐Chi Yang · International Journal of Mathematical Education in Science and Technology · 1996

It is known that the Abel's test is quite powerful for testing the convergence of an infinite series. In this note, we shall see how one may incorporate the derivative form of the integral test with Abel's test to obtain some additional results. We shall also see how the computer algebra system, Maple, could help us make educated conjectures on checking if the conditions of the theorems are met which will enable us to determine the convergence of a given series.
