3D seismic data in the Karaikal High flanks of Kaveri basin, India, was acquired in multiple phases due to logistic reasons. Altogether, there are 13 phases in this area till date. Theses phases were acquired with diverse acquisition conditions as there were no prior plans for continuity. An attempt was made to merge these 3D phases into a single mosaic to follow various hydrocarbon targets within Paleocene to Lower Cretaceous prospects. Signal conditioning followed by Pre Stack Time migration was carried out in this study and the results show fair quality of merging in spite of the singularities in the input data.
