An Accountable Privacy Architecture for Digital Rights Management System

Dheerendra Mishra · 2015

Digital Rights Management (DRM) system tries to ensure authorized content consumption of commercially market products. To achieve content security and accountability, most of the existing DRM systems do not support privacy. However, the scalable DRM system should maintain flexible and transparent content distribution which can protect privacy without losing accountability. In this paper, we present content distribution mechanism, which supports accountable privacy. The proposed mechanism does not violate the privacy rights of authorized consumers, however, a malicious consumer can be identified. The proposed scheme is based on the sharing of content key information and content key among independent authorities, such that the created content can be played only by the consumer with valid license.
