The Digital Data Acquisition System (DAS) described herein will be used as support of EBR-II.The objectives of the DAS will be to replace the outdated data-gathering equipment with a modern digital system that will be used as an operational aid, a data-reporting, and an analysis tool.As an operational aid, the system will display to the operators computed results for control and/or information.It will store the data for periodic reporting and automate the reporting process.The DAS will interface the experimenter to the reactor, allowing online, real-time analysis.This document describes the functional requirements and necessary equipment to perform the above tasks.I.
