A probability model for analysing complexity metrics data

Previous work on the relationship between ‘McCabe's complexity metric’ and ‘lines of code’ fails to recognise that such data are discrete. A discrete probability model is proposed which enables outliers to be detected, and offers information about parameters meaningful to the software engineer.
