The teaching of cryptologic mathematics
Pino Caballero‐Gil, Carlos Bruno-Castañeda, Candelaria Hernández‐Goya · 2003
This work addresses the topic of Mathematics Education from a current and stimulating point of view intimately related to Computer Science. Different mathematical objects such as functions, matrices, modular arithmetic, combinatory, equations and statistics, constitute the theoretical and practical basis of Cryptology, so their teaching should be previous to cryptologic courses. On the other hand, such a fact might be used to introduce those mathematical concepts in a captivating way through basic cryptographic and cryptanalytic activities.
