Pitch detection of speech signals using segmentedautocorrelation

A pitch detection algorithm based on segmented autocorrelation is presented which exhibits improved rejection of formant interference and pitch period multiple errors, when compared to the standard autocorrelation method . In addition, the algorithm is computationally less intensive than a standard autocorrelation of the same window length.
