A wavelet method for hyperbolic partial differential equations

In this article, we discuss an initial value problem of hyperbolic partial differential equations by the quadratic B-spline wavelet. The discrete scheme of the problem is obtained using the wavelet representations of the differential operators. Because the wavelet has the time-frequency local property, our method is especially adapts to the hyperbolic partial differential equations with singular solution.
