HOS-based method of global motion estimationfor noisy image sequences

An investigation is presented into a new region-recursive higher-order statistics (HOS) based method for global motion estimation which uses a simplified affine motion model (SLM) of a region. Compared to the similar SOS method, the presented method is is better suited to the analysis of complex noisy image sequences contaminated by correlated gaussian noise (CGN).
