Confederated database on Moscow University students up to the year 1917

An interdisciplinary project concerning the design and creation of an information system on Moscow University students up to 1917 is described. The concept of a confederated database is introduced, which is viewed as the most convenient tool for performing this and similar tasks. The shell of the system and the utilities are written in Object Pascal with the use of the Lazarus library. At present, the databases over 1835, 1886/1887, 1901/1902, and 1912/1913 academic years have been prepared for the system.
