Operating systems architecture future directions for heterogeneous communication systems

This article considers the future infrastructure requirements of communication systems.The communications system becomes more heterogeneous than ever, especially in terms of various wireless and mobile techniques and the multimedia and realtime service, and the question is how to change/augment the software to meet these eharacteristicsf It seems that the functionality should be divided bet~oeen the Operating System and individual applications.We analyze the main features the new Operating System should have and introduce the conceptual view of how it would look like.
