Darwinian Adaptative Simulated Annealing

We propose in this paper an optimisation algorithm that incorporates the advances brought by the so-called simulated annealing and by some recent results due to naturalevolution-like algorithms.We compare the efficiency of this algorithm with more classical ones (simulated annealing and Metropolis quenching) in terms of solution quality.The new Darwinian Adaptative Simulated Annealing algorithm exhibits the best behaviour towards problems involving a high density of local extrema.
