A course on mathematical software

During the four academic years ending in 1981, a one semester course in mathematical software construction has been offered by the Computer Sciences Department at the University of Texas at Austin. Although originally offered at a graduate level, a modified version has been offered three times for undergraduate students. Those electing the class include students interested in scientific programming as a profession as well as mathematics, engineering, and science studetns who seek to improve their programming skills.
