AN UNSTEADY STAGNATION-POINT FLOW

In this paper we consider the oscillatory flow at a two-dimensional stagnation point. We show, following the initiation of the motion, that the solution always develops a singularity at a finite time, and we discuss the implications of this for the flow over a cylinder which performs transverse harmonic oscillations.
