Using Ada 95 for the design of distributed real-time systems

Robert G. Pettit · 1996

The Ada-based Design Approach for Real-Time Systems (ADARTS 5 M) is a systems and software design method for large real-time systems, including multiprocessor and distributed systems using the Ada programming language. This paper describes how the features of the Ada 95 Distributed Systems Annex can be used by the AD ARTS design method to implement message communication between distributed partitions.A case study using a distributed model of an air traffic display I collision warning monitor system is then presented to illustrate the use of the Distributed Annex features.
