Direction sensing circuit obtained by incrementing signal propagation time
A Gallerani · Measurement Science and Technology · 1993
This paper presents a novel technique for rotary or linear direction sensing by means of external delays applied to the signals involved. It is applicable to any transducer which generates a pair of waveforms 90 degrees out of phase. The very simple working principle of the circuit makes it reliable and easy to test.
