Comparisons of round-off noise in Hwang's canonical digital filters

Analytical expressions for the round-off noise in the fixed-point mode for a few cases of Hwang's (Hwang 1974) canonical digital filters are derived. The filters considered are the second-order Hwang canonical types. Some illustrative examples are provided to compare the mean square value of the noise resulting from the round-off in the Hwang filters under discussion.
