XCIX.Operational calculus.—Part I. The definition of an operational representation of a function and some properties of the operator derived from this definition
H. V. Lowry · The London Edinburgh and Dublin Philosophical Magazine and Journal of Science · 1932
Summary The first part of this paper contains a discussion of some fundamental points in the theory of operational calculus. In particular, it is shown that there are good reasons for preferring the definition of an operational representation of a function by Bromwich's contour integral along a contour from - ∞ - 0i to - ∞ + 0i to the definition by Carson's integral.
