IMPORTANCE of the Problem: There has been considerable inter est and speculation among educators as to the value of personality tests. In reported research, however, little work has been done pertaining to personality on the second grade level. Recently a study was made to determine the effect of immediate ex periences upon responses on the California Personality Test. The need for this experiment was greatly felt, since personality tests are used as a basis for many research articles, upon which important conclu sions concerning personality are formed.
