Direct measurement of the dependence of the photon-number distribution on the number of modes in parametric down-conversion

The dependence of the photon-number distribution from parametric down-conversion on the number of collected modes is directly measured using Silicon Photomultiplier number-resolving detectors. Measurements are analyzed using a novel crosstalk model.
