The Ancient Robot Emily Blair (bio) though it looks like a whole it is only a part a face or leg optimized for atmospheric flight swept ashore in a canister half sunk in hot sand secluded under sycamores deep in dark drippy caves groaning rust across the aisle from my pretty pony stately under undulating ice buried beneath the couch cushion amongst the shattered pines and blasted hopes veiled by brambles scrambled by cable flung on the dim forest floor behind the wall of wooden blocks coming up and up after these messages with jerky movements and a sibilant sound effect there is no off only standby a rustle of dark-skirted wilderness that extinguishes your lamp a metallic click as like attracts like [End Page 266] Emily Blair Emily Blair is an artist and writer living in Brooklyn.
