Broad-band adaptive array processing using orthogonal functions

This paper introduces a novel filter arrangement to be used in broad-band adaptive antenna array processing. This arrangement is based on orthogonal functions filter sections behind each antenna element. Compared to the widely used finite impulse response filter arrangement, the present arrangement is found to have much better nulling performance as well as a better converged signal-to-interference ratio for broad-band interferences.
