Motor Skill Learning

Louis A. Govatos · Review of Educational Research · 1967

A major review of the study of motor learning is Acquisition of Skill (Bilodeau, 1966), a compilation of papers on motor and verbal learning presented at a conference in New Orleans in 1965. A brief history of the research on the acquisition of skill is presented along with a discussion of the literature and research in the field during the last 10 years. The book is an excellent analysis of the research, but its highly technical nature does not readily lend itself to direct application to educational situations. For the researcher, however, it would appear to be an indispensable reference.
