A note on estimation of the autocovariance function in the analysis of timing of repetitive responses

Alan Miles Wing · British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology · 1979

The estimator of the interresponse‐interval autocovariance function used by Wing (1977) is defined and its bias noted. The implications of the bias for the conclusions arrived at by Wing (1977) concerning models of response timing are discussed.
