A comment on the use of spectral radius of a matrix

This correspondence calls attention to the misuse of the spectral radius of system matrices in stability analysis. It is demonstrated via examples that\Pi\min{i=1}\max{n} A_{i}may diverge even if\rho(A_{i}) < 1for alli.
